To further this ambition, our company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Oromia National Regional State and Sheger City Administration today to deploy the state-of-the-art smart solutions and digital services, ushering in a new era of modernized and digitized service delivery.

The implementation of innovative smart solutions, as outlined in our agreement with the Oromia National Regional State, will have a substantial impact across diverse sectors, ranging from local administrative units to regional administrative organs, thereby streaming service delivery processes and leading to greater satisfaction with service provision.

The agreement is mainly aimed at implementing smart offices and campuses in selected offices, smart traffic lights in selected cities, smart classrooms, mining, agriculture, transportation, logistics, health, land administration and other related smart services. Furthermore, implementing Omni channel contact center solution, deploying the state-of-the-art smart emergency solution as well as digitalizing land management and various administrative offices working systems are part of the agreement that the Oromia National Regional State aspires to realize.

This agreement will further play a pivotal role in digitalizing the Region’s administrative offices operations with the deployment of digital infrastructures that will enhance citizens’ convenience and experience. Particularly, making an agreement to collect municipal income tax, rental income tax and investment income tax payments and other service payments via telebirr is the cornerstone of this agreement.

Similarly, our company has signed a contract agreement with the Sheger City Administration Mayor’s Office to deploy a Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure that will help easily integrate various bureaus and service rendering offices. The agreement also includes the installation of fiber optic cables for CCTV cameras, the construction of a control room for these cameras and the provision of ongoing technical support.

Through our prior telebirr based revenue settlement partnership agreement with the Oromia Revenues Bureau, we’ve revolutionized their tax collection system, ensuring timely revenue and seamless taxpayer experiences.
