The 4G LTE Advanced Service in 114 Cities!
In line with its pivotal role in driving the Ethiopia’s digital transformation, our company has successfully completed an extensive network expansion project in the two regions. This initiative is aimed at empowering citizens to benefit from digital solutions and digital financial services that go beyond basic connectivity. As a result, the advanced 4G LTE service is now available in 114 cities.
Specifically, to expand ultra-high-speed 4G LTE network services in the South-South East Region, we upgraded 177 existing sites and built 58 new ones. These efforts have enabled 56 towns in the region to access and enjoy the benefits of 4G LTE network services. Consequently, customers in the following towns within the South-South East Region can now take advantage of this enhanced connectivity.

Similarly, our company expanded the high-speed 4G LTE network in the Southeast Region by upgrading 227 existing sites and building 53 new ones. As a result, 58 towns now have access to the enhanced capabilities of the 4G LTE service. In parallel with the 4G LTE Advanced service expansion, we are actively conducting comprehensive awareness campaigns to improve digital literacy among citizens. These efforts aim to bridge the digital gap, promote inclusive access to digital and digital financial services, and bridge the Digital Divide between urban and rural communities, as well as between genders. This initiative plays a vital role in driving economic growth by fostering innovation and creating new job opportunities. It is recalled that our company recently introduced the 4G LTE Advanced service in several towns across the South-Southwest Region.
